WELCOME
In 1995 this hotel was
purchased by its recent owner. After 10 years of
renovation, the hotel is open and full of beautfiful,
antique Damascene charm. This historical building
took 10 years to get renovated; it was, finally,
opened in 2005.
Such a long time taken to
renovate this hotel reflects how beautiful Al
Khair Palace is. The gorgeous courtyard and
rooms of this hotel are designed with an ancient
Damascene theme respective to time and place
this hotel was set at. The courtyard has a
beautiful water fountain in its center that
truly looks like the crown jewel of a historical
crown; the first floor terraces of this
courtyard expose many scenic sights and nearby
tourist attractions such as 2 millennia aged Bab
Sharqi (in the Roman Era), Ghuta Forest of
Damascus, and various religious shrines and
temples that belong to various Christian Sects
(such as Orthodox, Catholic, Evangelist, etc...)
and Islam.

In the old city between "Bab al jabieh and Bab sharki" ,
where you find the best luxury oriental residence and enjoy the best oriental
and continental food and beverage.
ALKHAIR PALACE located at the end of the straight street, near Bab Sharki which
was built in the Roman age and renewed by Nour Aldeen Zenki in 1163, Bab Sharki
contains three gates and one of the most important events happened there, that
it was the gate which Khalid Ibn Alwalid entered from it when the Muslims
conquered Damascus.
Alkhair Palace was named by the Frensh authorities “Khan Bab Sharki" in 1920,
Alkhair Palace was built since 400 years and it was the first stay for the
caravans that entered Damascus and passed Silk Road.
Until 1995 it was carpentry place inhabited by Muslim, Christian and Jewish
families which worked in.
It was disrepaired within 10 years and started as a hotel and restaurant in
2/6/2005.
Alkhair palace lies on the Archeological Side of the Old City.

RESTAURANT
This hotel's restaurant serves
delicious oriental and occidental food around its
historical courtyard; the Khair palace's courtyard
is truly a nice place to have nice breakfast and
dinner in. There are two conference halls in this
hotel, the French Hall which is decorated in western
French style (that has a capacity up to 40 people)
and the Al Cham Hall which is decorated with an
authentic Damascene style; both of these halls can
be used for seminars and special events and
parties. There is an
antique shop adjacent to this hotel, where one can
not only visit Damascus, but own a piece of its
culture!
